* Exported from MasterCook * No-Fuss Doughnuts from Master Baking Mix Recipe By : Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 13-05 May 2010 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup Master Baking Mix 1 egg, well beaten 1/4 cup milk, or water 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, or other extract for flavor 6 tablespoons sugar See Chupa's Healthy All-Purpose Master Baking Mix Recipe. Fill a deep fryer with oil or fill a pan with at least 2 1/2" of oil at bottom. CAUTION: Never leave hot cooking oil unattended. Mix together the beaten egg, milk or water and vanilla. In a separate bowl, add the sugar and flour; mix thoroughly. Combine the liquid and dry ingredients together and mix until well blended. Heat oil to 375F. Drop tablespoonfuls of batter into the heated oil for about 2 minutes (rotate so both sides of the doughnut get lightly browned). Scoop out the doughnuts and place on paper towel to drain. Roll in cinnamon sugar, or let cool and top with a little frosting and sugar sprinkles - you decide. Yields: approx. 6 donuts.
