Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups peeled, seeded and diced ripe tomatoes
1/2 cup diced sweet onion
3 tablespoons seeded minced fresh jalapeno
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
Salt and fresh ground pepper -- to taste
1 cup chopped lettuce -- optional

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium size bowl and stir to mix. Cover
and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
