3 tablespoons thick cream
[sour cream works well here]
1 pound figs, dried
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
Wine -- optional

Mix together flour, sugar, shortening, eggs, baking powder, baking soda and
salt to form a soft dough.

Roll dough into a long rectangle, about 2 x 18 inches by 1/8 inch thin.
Place a roll of fig filling and roll dough over, closing. Cut into diagonal
rectangles, about 1 1/2 inches long. Place on greased baking sheet and bake
in a 350F. oven for 18 minutes. Remove from baking sheet, cool and frost
with confectioner's sugar icing. Sprinkle with multi colored sugar
