* Exported from MasterCook * Quiche Lorraine (Low Carb) Recipe By : George and Rachel Stella Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 8-05 May 2005 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 eggs 1/4 cup diced red pimentos or roasted peppers 1 teaspoon dry or fresh parsley flakes 1 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon white pepper (optional) 1 teaspoon baking powder 12 oz. shredded Swiss cheese 12 oz. cooked crisp bacon crumbled Greased 8 inch square baking pan or deep dish pie pan Preheat oven on Bake to 350 degrees. Mix eggs , heavy cream, pimentos and spices in a large bowl with a wire whip. Fold in cheese and bacon. Pour into greased pan and bake for 40 minutes until golden brown. Test *** Since ovens vary, 40 minutes is an approximate cooking time and you should test for doneness by sticking a wooden toothpick in the center.
