Recipe By : George and Rachel Stella
Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 8-05 May 2005
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
8 eggs
1/4 cup diced red pimentos or roasted peppers
1 teaspoon dry or fresh parsley flakes
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon white pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
12 oz. cooked crisp bacon crumbled
Greased 8 inch square baking pan or deep
dish pie pan
Preheat oven on Bake to 350 degrees.
Mix eggs , heavy cream, pimentos and spices in a large bowl with a wire whip.
Fold in cheese and bacon. Pour into greased pan and bake for 40 minutes until
golden brown.
Test *** Since ovens vary, 40 minutes is an approximate cooking time and you
should test for doneness by sticking a wooden toothpick in the center. If it
comes out clean, and the Quiche is golden brown, it's done.
