Let stand 5 minutes. Cook, stirring constantly, 5-8 minutes until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, lemon rind and sugar; cool. Line 8 or 9-inch square pan with foil. 2. In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat; stir in walnuts and vanilla. Spread evenly into prepared pan. 3. Refrigerate 2 hours, or until firm. Remove from pan; place on cutting board. Peel off foil; cut into small squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature. * YIELD: About 5 dozen pieces or 2 pounds Variation : can use 12 ounces chocolate chips and 6 ounces peanut butter chips instead of all chocolate chips. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and cool to room temperature. Strain the mixture into a large bowl. Stir in condensed milk, vodka, hot pepper sauce and vanilla. Gently fold in the whipped cream. Cover and freeze until firm. May be frozen for up to 1 week. To serve, scoop into wine goblets or fancy sherbet glasses. Drizzle with coffee liqueur if desired. Serves 8. Add beef broth, 1 soup can of water, Coca-Cola, salt, vinegar and pepper. Cover and let simmer for about 25 minutes. Toast one side of French bread slices under a hot broiler. Turn slices over, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on generously; toast until browned. Ladle the soup into deep bowls and top with toast, cheese side up. Cook over boiling water about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Slowly pour hot milk mixture over egg yolks, stirring constantly. Mix well. Return to double boiler. Cook over simmering water 1 minute. Add lemon juice and rind; remove from heat. Chill. Fold in whipped cream; pour into freezer trays. Freeze until firm.
