Nectarine Crumble

8 medium nectarines -- pitted & sliced
1/4 cup candied ginger -- finely chopped
1 slice green ginger
about half dollar size -- finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 cup brown sugar
[half Splenda half sugar]
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Topping:
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup butter or margarine -- softened
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
Heat oven to 350F.
Mix filling ingredients, then dump into an 8- X 8-inch baking dish.
Combine topping ingredients and cover filling.
Bake for half an hour or until brown.
Serve either hot or cold, with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
