                         Three-Cherry Jam Recipe

Recipe By :
Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 6-10 Oct 2003

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
  2 cup light sweet cherries
  2 cups dark sweet cherries
  2 cups tart red cherries
  6 cups sugar
                        Juice of 1 lemon

Pit and measure cherries. Grind coarsely. Simmer about 5 minutes to
soften skins. Add sugar and juice. Cook until thickened, 15 to 20
minutes, but no longer than 20 minutes. Skim and pour into hot
sterilized jars. Adjust lids at once and process in boiling water
bath, 212 degrees F., for 5 minutes *.

Remove from canner and complete seals unless closures are self-sealing type.

Yield: about 6 pints

*Art's Addition: Be sure to adjust your processing time according to
altitude. Most charts are calculated to altitudes of
1,000 feet or less. You must increase the processing
time by five minutes for altitudes of 1,000 to 3,000
feet, ten minutes for 3,001 to 6,000-feet, fifteen
minutes for altitudes of 6,001 to 8,000-feet etc.

                         Turkey Cranberry Wreath

Recipe By :
Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 6-10 Oct 2003

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 packages (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
     1/2 cup mayonnaise
  2 tablespoons honey Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
2 cups (12 ounces) chopped cooked turkey
     1/2 cup sliced celery
  3 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
     1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
     1/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  1 egg

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Unroll crescent dough; separate into 16
triangles. With wide ends of triangles toward the center, arrange
8 triangles in a circle on large round baking stone or cookie sheet.
Corners of wide ends will touch and points will extend 1 inch
beyond edge of baking stone. Arrange remaining 8 triangles in
center, matching wide ends. Seal seams. (Points will overlap in
center; do not seal.)

2. Place mayonnaise, mustard and black pepper in medium bowl. Add
turkey, celery, parsley, cranberries, and cheese to bowl. Mix
filling well. Scoop filling over seams of dough, forming a circle.

3. Sprinkle nuts over filling. Beginning in center, lift one dough
triangle across filling mixture. Continue alternating with outer
triangles, slightly overlapping to form wreath. Tuck last end under
first.

4. Separate egg, discarding yolk or keep aside for another use.
Lightly beat egg white; brush over dough. Bake 25-30 minutes or
until golden brown.

Yield: 8-10 servings

Cook's Tip: If desired, 2 cups chopped cooked chicken can be
substituted for the turkey.
