Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 large apples -- peeled, sliced,
soaked in water -- (to stop browning)
2 large oranges
1 orange rind -- cut into thin strips
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick Original baking mix
**Streusel**
3 tablespoons firm margarine -- or butter
1 cup Bisquick Original baking mix
1 package instant oatmeal -- (flavored works
well)
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
Heat oven to 325F. Grease pie plate, 10 X 1 1/2 inches.
Drain apples.
Mix apples, oranges (squeezed over apples and broken into chunks), orange
rind, cinnamon, allspice, ginger and 1/2 cup of sugar; turn into pie plate
(or keep in a covered bowl until you're ready to turn into pie plate, so
the fruit doesn't brown).
Beat milk, 2 tablespoons margarine, the eggs, granulated sugar and 1/2 cup
baking mix in blender on high speed about 15 seconds or with wire whisk or
hand beater about 1 minute, until smooth. Pour into plate.
Prepare Streusel; sprinkle over top.
**Streusel**
Cut margarine into the Bisquick, oatmeal and brown sugar until crumbly.
Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes.
Refrigerate any remaining pie.
