Orange Freeze

1 cup sugar -- (250 mL)
1 1/4 cups water -- (300 mL)
1/4 cup orange liqueur -- (50 mL)
2 tablespoons lemon juice -- (30 mL)
1 cup orange juice -- (250 mL)
Grated rind of 2 oranges
Combine the sugar, water and the liqueur.
Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves then bring to a
boil and cook for 5 minutes without stirring.
Cool.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Pour into two freezer trays and freeze for about 1 hour or until it is
frozen around the sides but still mushy in the middle.
Turn the mixture into a chilled bowl and beat until frothy.
Return to the freezer trays and freeze for about 4 hours or until firm,
stirring the ice every hour.
Makes 6 servings.
