* Exported from MasterCook * Marie's Fruit Drop Cookies Recipe By :Marie Irvine Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 6-05 May 2003 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/3 cup Splenda 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon grated orange rind 1 egg 1/2 orange -- juice of 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup bran flakes -- (breakfast cereal) 1/2 cup unsweetened desiccated coconut 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup dried cranberries Cream butter, sugar, Splenda and vanilla. Add egg, orange rind & juice. Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to first mixture then add oats, bran flakes, coconut, cranberries and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325F (160C) 15-20 minutes. They won't last long! :-) Contributed to the FareShare Gazette by Doug; 22 May 2003. www.fareshare.net - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * Exported from MasterCook * Mixed Meat Roll (Morcon) Recipe By :The Complete Round-the-World Cookbook Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 6-05 May 2003 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 pound ham -- ground 1/2 pound pork -- ground 4 tablespoons grated cheese -- Gruyere or American 1/4 cup chopped sweet pickles 1/4 cup chopped black olives 3 teaspoons soy sauce -- divided 2 tablespoons lemon juice 4 teaspoons salt -- divided 2 teaspoons pepper -- divided 1 egg 3 pounds boneless sirloin -- cut 1/4-inch thick [in one piece if possible] 3 hard-cooked eggs -- quartered 2 cups water 1/4 cup vinegar 1/2 cup tomato sauce 1 onion -- sliced 3 garlic cloves -- minced 1 bay leaf 2 tablespoons flour Cold water Combine the ham, pork, cheese, pickles, olives, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, lemon juice, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon pepper and the egg. Mix well. Place the steak on a flat surface and spread with the mixture. If several steaks are used divide the mixture evenly among them. Arrange the quartered eggs on the mixture. Roll up the steak carefully and fasten in several places with string. Place the meat roll in a deep saucepan. Add the water, vinegar, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, bay leaf along with the remaining soy sauce, salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat for 1 hour or until tender. Mix the flour with an equal amount of cold water and add to the gravy, stirring until smooth. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the meat roll from the gravy and place on a platter.
