Recipe By :Women's League
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 6-01 Jan. 2003

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 can peas -- (large can)
  2 large onions -- chopped
  1 vegetarian bouillon cube
  2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 slice pumpernickel bread -- toasted
  2 hard-boiled eggs
  4 ounces chopped pecans
  1 1/2 teaspoons margarine
                        Salt

Heat the peas but do not boil. Drain and cool.

Sauté onions in oil until soft.

Dissolve bouillon cube in a small amount of boiling water until it is
soft enough to crush (about 2 minutes). Mix crushed cube with onions
and set aside.

Place eggs, chopped pecans, peas, margarine and bread in food
processor. Blend 2 to 3 minutes.

Place ingredients in bowl and mix with onions. Refrigerate for 24
hours before serving. Tastes even better second or third day, and
will keep for a week.
