                         Easy Butterscotch Fudge

                        Melt in microwave:
  12            ounces  butterscotch chips
  1         tablespoon  butter
                        Add:
     3/4           cup  sweetened condensed milk
     1/2           cup  chopped pecans

Wait till set; make into log shape; roll in pecans; chill.

Serve in slices.

                           Elsie's Wheat Salad

  2               cups  wheat -- (500 mL)
  8             ounces  Philadelphia Light Cream Cheese -- (225 g)
  1              large  Cool Whip LiteŽ
  3 3/4         ounces  instant vanilla pudding and pie filling --
                        (113 g)
                        [the 4-serving-size package]
  1 1/2           cups  milk -- (375 mL)
  2        tablespoons  lemon juice -- (30 mL)
  1                cup  crushed pineapple -- drained (250 mL)
                        Maraschino cherries
                        or pineapple chunks -- to decorate

Cover the wheat with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour.

Author's suggestion: You could boil several more cups of wheat; cool
and freeze for another salad.

Cream the remaining ingredients together and mix in the boiled wheat.

Decorate with maraschino cherries or pineapple chunks.
