White Clam Sauce for Pasta

3 garlic cloves -- crushed or minced
[3 to 4]
1/4 cup butter
1/8 cup olive oil
2 cans Snow's chopped clams -- undrained
1/4 cup white wine
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley -- (1-2 tbsps)
Salt to taste
Cook garlic in butter and olive oil until limp. Add clams, wine,
parsley and pepper and simmer until slightly thickened. Add salt
if necessary to taste.
