* Exported from MasterCook * Flounder With Garlic And Apples Recipe By :Bob Bowersox of QVC Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 4-2 Feb. 2001 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 teaspoons olive oil 3 cloves garlic -- minced 1 red delicious apple -- peeled, cored, and chopped into 1/2" diced pieces 2 teaspoons sugar 2 cups dry white wine 2 flounder filets 1/4 teaspoon thyme 1/4 teaspoon tarragon In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the garlic in the oil. When it has begun to slightly brown, add the apples and the sugar. Stir to blend and melt the sugar. Add the wine. When the wine has come to a simmer, place the fish in the pan. Poach the fish until you see the white along the edges of the fish. Then, flip the fillet over in the pan. Continue to cook until the fish begins to flake. Serve with the sauce spooned over the fish. Cherry Pie Filling Eggs, use amount indicated on cake mix 1 can Cherry Cloud Frosting (1 or 2 cans) 1/2 cup powdered sugar 12 oz. Whipped Topping, thawed Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans. With electric mixer, beat cake mix, Cherry Pie filling and eggs. Do mot add water or oil to cake mix. Blend on low speed and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide between two pans and bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick tests clean. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans. Cool completely. To frost, stir all frosting ingredients until combined. Spread generously between layers and over top and sides of cake. Refrigerate.
