     1/2           cup  lemon juice
  1              quart  apple cider
  5                     cloves
  1           teaspoon  nutmeg
  2                     cinnamon      sticks
                        * toads and salamanders
1.Mix lemon juice and cider in a saucepan.
2.Put spices in a tea ball and add to cider.
3.Bring mixture to a boil over low heat and simmer for 5 - 10 
minutes.
4.Cool slightly, remove tea ball, and serve. Also good cold.

  1 1/2         pounds  dried apricots(soaked overnight)
     1/2         pound  sugar
     1/2         pound  onion
     1/2         pound  sultanas
  1           teaspoon  salt
  1              pinch  cayenne pepper
  2          teaspoons  all spice
  450              mls  vinegar
Cut up apricots, dice onions, tie in allspice. Place all ingredients
in saucepan. Bring to boil, simmer till good color and consistency 
(about 1 1/2 hours).
