Mix in remaining ingredients, except dippers, cover and cook until hot, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Variation: Omit chopped green chile, cayenne and hot sauce. Add 1/4 pound Mexican chorizo, browned and drained, and 2 teaspoons pickled jalapeņos, minced, after the cheeses are melted NOTES: "This dip is fiery! Reduce the amount of crushed red pepper and/or omit the red pepper sauce for a milder dip." Divide the berry mixture among 4 glasses and top each glass with 1 tablespoon each agave nectar. Top off each glass with ice, and soda water. Back to Recipe List * Exported from MasterCook * Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad Recipe By : Melissa d'Arabian Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 15-07 Jul 2012 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced 2 slices bacon, cut in small pieces, cooked to crisp 1/2 bunch broccoli, cut into small florets (about 1 1/2 cups) 1/2 small head cauliflower, cut into small florets (about 1 1/2 cups) 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper Shock the onions in an ice water bath for 10 minutes to temper the sharp flavor, pat dry. Place the bacon, broccoli, cauliflower and onions in a large salad bowl. In a small bowl, whisk the sugar, vinegar and Dijon mustard. Slowly drizzle in the oil, whisking to make an emulsion. Mix in the mayonnaise and seafood seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss. Note: When Melissa made this recipe on TV, she made the dressing in a large salad bowl, then layered in the vegetables and tossed it. This means one less bowl to wash.
