Grant Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 15-03 Mar 2012 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1 teaspoon salad oil 10 ounces spinach -- [1 package] 1 large can spaghetti sauce 1 large can mushrooms 8 ounces tomato sauce -- [1 can] 6 ounces tomato paste -- [1 can] Salt and pepper to taste 2 cups macaroni -- uncooked 1 cup Mozzarella cheese 2 eggs, beaten Brown beef and onions in oil. Cook and drain spinach, reserving liquid. Combine meat mixture with spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper and 1 cup of the reserved spinach liquid. Simmer 10 minutes. Combine spinach with cheese, eggs and macaroni. Spread in 9x13-inch pan first the macaroni mixture then the meat mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
