* Exported from MasterCook * Tomato Feta Scones Recipe By : Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 14-04 Apr 2011 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 4 tablespoons cold butter, cubed 3/4 cup heavy cream 1 beaten egg 4 ounces feta 1/2 cup roasted red tomatoes, chopped 2 green onions, chopped Preheat oven to 400F. In food processor add flour, baking powder. Pulse until resembling coarse meal. Transfer to large bowl, add cream and egg and mix until together. Add feta, tomato and green onions. Mix till distributed. Form a ball on floured surface. Flatten to 1-inch or so thick disk and cut into 8th's or so. Bake 15 minutes on lined baking sheet. Have added crumbled turkey bacon also. Contributed to the FareShare Gazette by Ruby; 13 April 2011. www.fareshare.net - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Back to Recipe List * Exported from MasterCook * Tuscan Cassoulet Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 14-04 Apr 2011 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/4 pound bacon, cut in small pieces 1/2 pound sausage (or more, turkey or chicken is fine), casings removed 2 tablespoons Olive oil, divided use 2 leeks, sliced thin 1 garlic clove, chopped 1/2 onion, chopped fine 3 carrots, peeled and diced 1 teaspoon thyme and/or oregano 3 cups white beans, cooked, (or more, canned is fine) 3/4 cup chicken stock (if you add more, you get soup) 1 cup fresh bread crumbs Heat oven to 350F. Brown bacon and put aside. Drain out grease and add sausage. Brown. Put aside. Drain out grease and add olive oil, leeks, onions and carrots. Cook until softened (5 minutes) and add garlic. Add back sausage, herbs, beans and chicken stock and bring to a boil. Stir in bacon. Meanwhile, mix the rest of the olive oil with the bread crumbs. Pour into an oven proof dish and top with the bread crumbs. Bake about 35 minutes, or until dish is bubbly and crumbs are toasted. Serves 4 or more.
