* Exported from MasterCook * Fruit Crunch (Marie's) Recipe By : Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 14-02 Feb 2011 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups assorted fruit -- (4 to 5 cups) [rhubarb, strawberries, blueberries] [Marie was cleaning the freezer :-) !] Sauce: 1 cup white sugar -- (1/2 Splenda 1/2 sugar) 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla Make a crumb mixture: 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup flour 3/4 cup oatmeal 1 cup Splenda brown sugar blend 1/2 cup melted butter Combine the white sugar (or Splenda/sugar mix), cornstarch, water and vanilla in a saucepan and cook until thick. Press half crumb mixture into bottom of 7 X 11-inch pan. Dump fruit over the crumb base, then pour the hot sauce over the assorted fruit. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350F for about an hour. Serve warm or cold. It really was very good!
