* Exported from MasterCook * Vegetable Pie Recipe By : The George Bernard Shaw Vegetarian Cook Book Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 13-12 Dec 2010 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 medium potatoes 1/4 pound mushrooms 2 large onions 1/2 pound tomatoes -- peeled Salt and pepper 1 ounce butter A little water 1/2 pound short pastry Peel and slice the potatoes. Slice the mushrooms, onions and peeled tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in a pie dish or large casserole in layers, starting with a bottom layer of potatoes and finishing with a layer of tomatoes. Dot with butter. Add a little water. Cover with rich short pastry.
