Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg -- beaten with
1 teaspoon water
sesame seed

Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Cream butter with
sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add cream and vanilla. Add
dry ingredients and mix well, using fingers to blend evenly. Pat dough out
flat, about 3/4 inch thick. Cut with small doughnut cutter. Place on
greased cookie sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seed.
Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden.

Makes about 5 dozen.
