Recipe By :
Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 12-10 Oct 2009

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 pound cooked smoked turkey sausage
halved lengthwise and sliced
2 cups packaged peeled baby carrots
14 ounces reduced-sodium chicken broth -- (1 can)
1 1/2 cups frozen loose-pack diced hash brown potatoes
[1/2-inch cubes]
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup -- (10 3/4 ounces)
1 teaspoon dried oregano -- crushed
2 cups chopped cooked chicken -- or turkey
[about 10 ounces]
9 ounces frozen cut green beans -- thawed (1 package)

In a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, combine turkey sausage, carrots,
chicken broth, potatoes, cream of chicken soup and oregano.

Cover and cook on Low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on High heat
setting for 4 to 5 hours.

If using Low-heat setting, turn slow cooker to High-heat setting.

Stir in cooked chicken and green beans. Cover and cook for 30 minutes more.

Serves 6 to 8.

Notes : Diced hash brown potatoes bring rib-sticking goodness to this
filling stew - with no peeling or slicing involved. The taste panel also
appreciate the nice, smoky flavor the sausage brought to the mix. This is a
delicious stew. We served it with hot crunchy rolls.
