* Exported from MasterCook * Warm Pasta and Tomato Spinach Salad Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:15 Categories : Volume 12-10 Sep 2009 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 large fresh tomatoes -- (about 1 1/2 pounds) 8 ounces uncooked small shell pasta 2 cups firmly packed torn spinach leaves 1 cup peeled cucumber -- cut into 1/2-inch chunks 3/4 cup cubed ham -- 1/2-inch cubes 1/3 cup prepared reduced-calorie cream Italian dressing 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper Use tomatoes held at room temperature until fully ripe. Core and chop tomatoes. You should-have about 4 1/2 cups of chopped tomatoes when done. Set aside. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions; drain and set aside. In the hot saucepan that the pasta just came out of, place the spinach, cucumber, ham, Italian dressing, salt, pepper and tomatoes. Return hot pasta to the pan and stir to coat.
