Back to Recipe List	* Exported from MasterCook * Iced Tomato Salad Recipe By : Low-Carbohydrate Diet Cookbook Serving Size : Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 12-04 Apr 2009 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups tomato sauce Worcestershire sauce -- to taste Tabasco -- to taste Salt and pepper -- to taste Onion juice -- to taste Lemon juice -- to taste 1/2 cup heavy cream -- whipped To Serve: Crisp salad greens and minced chives Season tomato sauce with seasonings to taste. Pour into a freezing tray and freeze until icy then fold in the whipped cream and freeze until firm. Serve on crisp greens and sprinkle with minced chives. Notes: This recipe is for those of you who may be in the midst of a heat wave, unlike me who had to clear about 2 cm of snow off the car yesterday. Blecchhhh! (Oh well, it got rid of the mud splatters from when somebody, who shall be nameless but wasn't me, deliberately went through a puddle on the road the other day "to wash the salt off underneath" while I muttered words sounding suspiciously like 'try a car wash some time'.) <G> There is a check mark by this recipe which, according to my so-called system, usually means I have made it.
