* Exported from MasterCook * Ohio Funnel Cakes (Joan's Files) Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 10-04 Apr 2007 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 eggs -- beaten 1 cup milk 1 cup water 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3 cups flour 1/4 cup sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Oil to fry Beat eggs and combine with the wet ingredients. Combine dry ingredients and combine both mixture to attain a smooth batter. Drop from a funnel or spouted measure cup into hot oil (375F) swirling about 1/2 cup batter for each funnel cake. Fry 2 minutes on each side or until golden. Drain on paper and dust with powdered sugar. Yields 8 large.
