* Exported from MasterCook * Jack Daniel's Ice Cream Float (Joan's) Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Volume 10-03 Mar 2007 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Club soda to fill glass 1 ounce Jack Daniels whiskey 1 ounce Hershey's chocolate syrup 1 scoop vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream or plain vanilla or plain chocolate ice cream Optional: whipped cream, maraschino cherry as garnish Needing something to impress a bunch of relatives for the 4th of July, I concocted this great drink. I read about the idea of using Jack Daniels in an ice cream soda. I used to make ice cream soda's for my friends at my Dad's restaurant so making this recipe was a cinch. However, my husband and I never expected it would taste so wonderful. You can probably vary the amount of chocolate syrup and whiskey as you wish. In a large ice cream soda glass (or a tall glass with at least 2 cups capacity or more) place syrup and Jack Daniel's. Add club soda and stir very well, filling soda almost to the top. Mixture will be foamy. Place in a scoop of ice cream and garnish. Note: I think one ounce of Jack Daniel's is just enough but add more if you wish!
